“We have just completed a marketing training and planning programme which allowed us to embrace the changes within the Personalisation Agenda. Care Sector Marketing has  a number of clients within the care sector and we have found their help and guidance invaluable during this process and would recommend that this help would benefit all companies wanting to shape up for the future”
Julie Coombes, Managing Director
Gentle Touch Care Services Ltd,
Domiciliary Care Provider

The personalisation agenda is both a threat and an opportunity for home care service providers. For example “Citizens” who are eligible for public funding will be given the option to have a ‘personal budget’ which can be managed in several different ways, including a direct cash payment option.

The subsequent support plan will not necessarily be about conventional services and personal care tasks – it can include any type of support so long as it is legal, will keep the person safe, and is judged likely to be effective in enabling the individual to achieve their chosen outcomes. Significantly people can recruit their own personal assistant rather than purchasing home care from a registered domiciliary care provider.

The consequences of these changes are substantial. With increased choice comes more intensive competition, the need to develop and market new “added value” services and communicate clear, compelling and more visible way why Citizens should use your services ahead of other options.

We work with providers in the Domiciliary Care Sector to create awareness of their service provision with key stakeholders, develop differentiation, maximise the relevance of their service range and improve client attraction and retention rates.
